Arizona Concealed Carry Course (CCW)

This 8 hour course is required by the State of Arizona in order to receive a Concealed Carry Permit. It has been developed to address the legal issues pertaining to AZ, firearms safety and handling, and to assure a certain level of proficiency on the part of shooter.

This course begins at 7AM promptly at the Phoenix Rod & Gun Club for the qualifier and will continue in Scottsdale for the classroom portion and testing.

Arizona CCW Renewal

No renewal course is required any longer by the State of Arizona BUT every 5 years you are required to renew with a new set of fingerprints and application along with a fee to the State of Arizona. See link below for more information.

Introduction to Handguns

This 8-10 hour classroom & shooting course is chock full of shooting and is designed for the person who is a new gun owner or just new to the world of firearms and thinking about what the next step is. We teach important topics like basic safety and handling, firearm fundamentals, how to wear your holster, types of carry, types of equipment needed to maintain your firearm, range safety and plenty of shooting. If you've never shot a firearm or have minimal time on the range then this course should be the pre-requisite to getting your Arizona Concealed Carry Weapons permit. If you have your permit but have never had the opportunity to "come out of leather" or test your carry equipment then this is a must for you.

Requires: Sturdy belt, holster and magazine carrier, firearm & 3 magazines, eye and ear protection and 300 rounds of ammunition.

Limited Class size—Pre-registration and deposit required

*With each Intro to Handguns we offer the optional opportunity to join a special 4 -5 hour Legal Issues portion on the day prior to the shooting class for those who would like to get their CCW permit at the same time. Call for more information

Intro to Defensive Handgun

This 12 hour shooting course is a sequel to the Introduction to Firearms and designed for the person who is already a shooter but wants to learn more about technique and tactics. We teach you all the basics of tactics including shooting from a holster, around barricades, moving, position changes, etc. This is a must for those of you who want to know more about how to carry and what to do when you do.
